Neuropsychological Services provides comprehensive forensic services that include record reviews, case analysis, evaluations and consultations with attorneys, public defenders, district attorneys, juvenile probation officers and judges. Neuropsychological Services address a wide range of forensic issues including personal injury (related to motor vehicle accidents, work-related falls, etc.), capacity (guardianship), termination of parental rights, disability, abuse and criminal behavior (i.e., culpability, mitigating factors, potential mental retardation/limitations, etc.).

Juvenile Services
Neuropsychological Services provide comprehensive forensic evaluations that address abilities skills and coping resources to facilitate development of intervention plans that address individual weaknesses while utilizing strengths.
Referrals are provided by juvenile probation, juvenile court and children and youth services throughout the region.
Criminal Services
Neuropsychological Services is experienced in working for defense attorneys, public defenders and prosecutors for building a presentation that promotes the best interest of the client while helping to ensure an efficient, well developed presentation with a positive case outcome.
Competency Services
Neuropsychological Services provides expert assessment and testimony regarding capacity to manage personal, financial and medical affairs for guardianship hearings.
Dr. Richard Dowell Jr.
Dr. Dowell has provided evaluations and testified as an expert witness on issues related to competency (i.e., drive, reside alone, complete a will, etc.) and capacity. He also has provided state-wide training seminars to Area Agencies on Aging staff.
Dr. Dowell has served as an expert witness within the county and federal court systems including civil (i.e., motor vehicle accident, work-related injury, etc.) and criminal (i.e., death penalty evaluations, competency assessments, etc.) cases.
